Testimonial:
"My Mother had a stroke at 96 which left her unable to handle walking, getting dressed, toileting and other tasks by herself. The caregivers and Val Dockter were just wonderful in the compassion they showed a very unhappy woman and the fine, generous quality of the care they gave her." Janet K.

The Washtenaw Association for Community Advocacy (ACA) is a private nonprofit 501c3 agency with services primarily in Washtenaw County. ACA was started in 1949 by a group of parents seeking educational opportunities for their children with developmental disabilities. Over the last 50 plus years ACA broadened its focus and expanded its mission to pursue rights and opportunities for persons of all ages and with a wide range of disabilities.

ACA’s mission is to ensure that people with disabilities and their families have choice, opportunities and the supports they need to be fully included in community life.
